The hotel's location is convenient, close to the US-83 and just a few minutes from Nuevo Progreso, Mexico, making it a good choice for minimizing stress and meeting with relatives. However, the lack of a working hot tub or sauna is disappointing.

The rooms were very near the main office/restaurant/bar with loud music but I found them more than adequate despite being a bit musty. The layout where the smell traveled from the bathroom into the bedroom was a minor drawback.

The front desk clerk was somewhat inflexible in enforcing the pool policy due to liability concerns, but the long-term employee working at the hotel for over 18 years was incredibly good, friendly, fast, and even multitasking effectively, which was impressive despite the solo effort on that particular day.
